Camera modes - auto, aperture priority, shutter priority, manual, sports, landscape, Macro, and portrait.

Understand how to read and interpret a histogram correctly. Use exposure compensation and the merits of saving your images in RAW / jpeg format.

Everyday shooting - What to look for and how to shoot it

Composition - Learn how to "see" a photo just about anywhere!

Lenses - You have the ability to add just about any lens to your SLR camera, you now need to understand what you need and why.

Filters - We will cover the use of Polarizers Neutral Density (ND) and Neutral Density Graduated filters (ND grads)

Lighting - The single most important aspect of photography. Learn what time of day is best for different types of shots.

Flash photography. Getting the most from your flash gun both on and off camera

Basic Digital Imaging - Uploading your images to a computer and using Photoshop/other editing software and making basic adjustments.

Preparing images for websites and print • Cleaning and maintenance - With DSLR's comes dust. Learn to safely remove dust from sensors and lenses.

Practical session on location for composition and how to “see” images.
